The Velvet Teen's 2nd full-length release was originally intended as a piano-based e.p., but grew into something much more elaborate. Judah wrote most of these songs on his green piano, and Logan & Josh helped to flesh them out during rehearsals in the Santa Rosa countryside. The Universe took over from there. Lush string arrangements and hints at complex conspiracy theories have made Elysium a favorite amongst heavy-hearted and heady-headed fans...

The unique and symbiotic combination of post-rock/"emo" that is nestled within each track of these albums, with or without vocals, continues to significantly contribute to the soundtrack of an epic movie in my mind. Triumphant yet melancholic, turbulent yet hopeful. Michiganderik
The Philadelphia group sharpen their hooks and internal dyanmics for a fun and non-dorky take on power pop anyone can get behind. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 26, 2024
Montreal psych-pop veterans sound as infectious and hypnotic as ever on their seventh LP, slinging jangly riffs and bright vocal harmonies. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 14, 2024

My god, what an absolutely incredible Suite. I'll admit, I've struggled to get into Pharoah Sanders due to diving headfirst into some of his most challenging catalogue and that never worked. This is the perfect place to restart. Floating Points is new for me and I can honestly say I've never heard synthesizer music this lush and organic before. the LSO is just perfect. This is one of those albums that any serious music fan needs in their life. The perfect swan song for the great Pharaoh! 5/5 ClassyMusicSnob
